Disposable (Patient Specific) Slings represent the ultimate in infection control. These slings are designed to stay with one patient so that the risk of cross-contamination is completely eliminated. Although these slings cannot be washed or soiled, they are durable enough to safely last up to one to two months under normal lifting conditions providing they are cared for properly. Once soiled, washed, or if any signs of wear appear they must be immediately discarded. Also discard immediately once a patient has been discharged from the facility. Slings are constructed of a non-woven polypropylene fabric and are tested and guaranteed to perform to the indicated safe working loads.
